About Fertőszentmiklós

Belongs to northwest region of Transdanubia. Territory: 3939km2 Number of population: 3900 In course of excavations in the 20. Century was found archeological finds to prove that this village was populated already before Christi 3500-2500. In 1906 was the name Fertőszentmiklós, but earlier there were 2 settlements (Szentmiklós, Szerdahely).

As a result of the Tartaraction in 1241-1242 has been the region almost completely desolated, later fishers were here resettled and they gave the name after their patronsaint. After changing of the powerstructur appeared here private farmers and advanced well the life of this area.

At the end of the year 1980 there were developed some building sites, which sites we want now in summer 2004 to improve to a modern, to europian standard according residential section with high quality of public utilities, cable television, telephonnetwork, elektricity, gas-, water, drains.
